Marcade Electrical were engaged by Morgan Sindall to install the new wired services to the refurbished library at Oceanography Southampton. The works involved the isolation and removal of the existing wired services with some of these works carried out in occupied areas necessitating out of hours working. Once services were removed, construction work commenced with new partitions and mezzanine floors constructed. After this work was underway, we were able to start our installation works, consisting of a considerable amount of architectural linear T5 suspended lighting and other highly efficient LED lighting. Additionally, other disciplines were installed as listed.
