The site in Wilson road comprises two almost identical structures known as the centre and school buildings both being constructed around 1900. The project works involved the complete refurbishment and upgrading of the electrical installations in both buildings on a phase by phase basis. An extension has been added to the school building to provide a modern reception area and the nearby playing field area has had a small playing field toilet and storage facility constructed adjacent the new multi-use games area.
